Cheeeeese

We went to the Seattle Cheese Festival a few weekends ago and it was a cheese lover's paradise. Times 10. All-you-can-eat samples of cheese from all over the world. I gladly fought the crowds and pushed my way through each tent while Jon stood on the side with the baby and waited for me to come back with toothpicks full of cheese.

On a side note, the house was 77 degrees today! We are so glad we installed air conditioning.

Spring

This is a rough time of year for me. For real. Spring brings more sunshine and many beautiful things...like outdoor seating at Starbucks. Spring also means summer is right around the corner and hallelujah to that. Sadly for me, it brought along a spider today, the first I've seen this season and it just means more will come. And this, by far, is the worst trade-off ever to be able to enjoy Seattle's weather. Or lovely weather anywhere...

I'm sure you all wanted to see a picture of Violet instead. Stay tuned...after all, it's Mother's Day weekend and I am a mother this year! Whoooooooooa.

Violet is becoming super active, kicking her legs and flailing her arms. She gets very excited when we get down on the floor with her and have a conversation.
