Violet's 2-month checkup

The baby now weighs 13 lbs, 4.5 oz. That's an almost 7 lb gain since birth so now I don't feel too bad tossing her around. I can't say it enough- we love this girl so much. She is just a fun, sweet baby.

Violet was cooing and smiling at her doctor the entire time.

Jon's 30th birthday weekend

We celebrated Jon's 30th with great friends. My brother is on spring break so he came to visit us and spend time with the baby.

Jon after a sip of his wine =)
Back at our house for games. Actually, it was just one extremely long game of Scattergories.

Sunday was Jon's actual birthday. We went out for brunch and a walk in the sun. When we got to the waterfront, Jon exclaimed to Violet, "Time to soak up some vitamin K!" My brother and I were like, "You mean vitamin D?!!!" I literally LOL.

Here's Violet soaking up some of that vitamin K.

Plump baby

I went to a 0-3 months new mom group the other day and walked away with one major conclusion: I have the chubbiest kid by far. This begs the question, AM I OVERFEEDING MY CHILD? Violet still is so tiny with her teeny weeny head but her cheeks and thighs prove otherwise.

Happy 2 months to my girl

We love and smother her to death. I mean, how can we resist those cheeks?

Special hi-hat (Valrhona choco cake with marshmallow dipped in more chocolate!) cupcake on Easter weekend at Trophy Cupcakes.

Frozen custard in Seattle. Just like ice cream, but smooooother.

A trip to the Microsoft store where we found a Snuggie with the MS logo. There is something for everyone at this wonderland.

Stocking up on goodies at Trader Joe's:

Stuart visits Seattle

Stuart is back in the U.S.A. and taking a short break from life in China. We are SO psyched that he came to see the baby and is spending a few days with us. But we do wish Brooke and Ocean had come with him!

Places we went so far: Chipotle, steakhouse, Salumi sandwich shop, chocolate factory, Costco to stock up for his trip back to my motherland, Best Buy, and the mall.

At Theo's chocolate factory, a fave destination for us.
Fantastic sandwich place in Seattle...the three of us shared a salami sandwich, pork butt sandwich, a porchetta sandwich, and a meatball sub. Man, we are what we eat.
